Our Volunteers

Historic Christ Church & Museum volunteers are the backbone of our organization. We simply could not open our doors, present programs, and engage the community without their enthusiasm and dedication. Indeed, our Volunteer Council Committees play a major leadership role in realizing our vision for this nationally significant site.

Volunteering at Historic Christ Church & Museum is a rich and rewarding experience. Volunteers take enormous pride in helping to preserve one of colonial Virginia's great buildings. If you love to learn and enjoy interacting with people, this is the place for you!

But volunteer life here is not all work. We offer diverse educational and entertaining activities such as enriching continuing education, presentations by distinguished scholars, musical performances, fun-filled trips to other historic sites, a book club, parties and receptions, and much, much more. Perhaps the greatest pleasures our volunteers find here are the solid friendships and camaraderie.

We are actively seeking community members to join our efforts to preserve and celebrate the unique history of Historic Christ Church & Museum and our special quality of life in the Northern Neck. If you would like to meet new friends, join the fun, learn about our varied programs, and have a few hours to spare, we would love to hear from you!
