Come learn, work, play and lead with us!
Historic Christ Church & Museum volunteers are the backbone of our organization. We simply could not open our doors, present programs, and engage the community without their enthusiasm and dedication. Indeed, our Volunteer Council plays a major leadership role in realizing our vision for this nationally significant site.
Volunteering at Historic Christ Church & Museum is a rich and rewarding experience. We take enormous pride in helping to preserve one of colonial America's great buildings. We love being on the beautiful church grounds. We interact with individuals from the local region as well as visitors from throughout the nation – and the world!
But volunteer life here is not all work. We offer diverse educational and entertaining activities such as enriching continuing education, a Sunday Speaker Series, musical performances, fun-filled bus trips to other historic sites, a book club, living history presentations, parties, receptions, and much, much more. One of our greatest pleasures is the solid friendships and camaraderie we find here.
We are actively seeking community members to join our efforts to preserve and celebrate the unique history of Historic Christ Church & Museum and our special quality of life in the Northern Neck. We offer a wide variety of volunteer roles to choose from, with flexible scheduling throughout the year:
If you would like to meet new friends, share a skill or your love of history, learn through our varied programs, and have a few hours to spare, we would love to hear from you! Please call (804) 438-6855 or e-mail info@christchurch1735.org and we will follow up with you very soon.
