Helen Roundtree presents “Powhatan Indian Women and the Jamestown Colonists”

Acclaimed historian Helen Rountree investigates the world Powhatan women and English colonists made in 17th-century Virginia. Rountree explores Indian women’s work routines, family and tribal structure, and their economic and cultural exchanges with the English.

Book signing, wine and cheese reception with author immediately follow the presentation.

All proceeds benefit preservation and education programs at Historic Christ Church & Museum.
