Mr. Wm: Dawkins
Sir --
I have already written to you at length and the
Carter
being within a fortnight or three weeks [of] Sailing I Shall reserve
my Self for her however have thought it necessary now to Send you
an Invoice for Some good [s] that you may have time before you
to Send them in Early According to my desire I Shall give you
no further trouble at present from
Your very humble Servt: --

Robert Carter generally used a return address of "Rappahannock" for the river on which he lived rather than "Corotoman," the name of his home, on his correspondence, especially to merchants abroad. The county and colony have been added for clarity to the heading on the draft.
