     Robert Carter sends, 1720 July13, copies of letters he had sentearlier by thePrince to London merchant Robert Burridgeconcerning 5 hogsheads oftobacco shipped by the Carter consigned to Burridge's partner, JosephPaice, and enclosing accounts of Burridge's affairs in his hands.

Rappahannock, [Lancaster County, Virginia]
Mr. Robt Burridge
Sir

     This accompan[ies] Coppys [sic] of my Lettr
& Accots by the Prince, James Wyatt Commandr. who
I hope is safe wth You long before now, I have now Shipt [sic]
upon Yor. Accot. 5 heavy hogsheads more thtnet 4255 wth. cask in The Carter to Mr.
Joseph Paise Yor Partner, If the masterwill lett me
But Freit hath binSo plenty [sic] the Masr . hath refusd
Abundance of Tobo. That would not be Shipd to his ownrs.
If he should refuse bills of Lading for Yors To Paise I
Shall Send them to Mr. Wm. Dawkins Mercht. of London --
I have herein Sent You a Stated Accot. of all Yor. Concerns
There remains Due to You upon The Tobo. accot. 456
& upon yr. money Accot. £5"4/.There is outstanding
of Yor. Tobo. between 1500 & 2000 all to This balla [nce] . I
have answerd out of my own Tobo. The balla of The
Money Accot. You must pay Yor. Self. I heartily Wish
You health & Prosperity & remain Sir
