2017 HCC&M Sunday Lecture Series: Virginia’s Gardens: Past & Present

Brent Heath presents “Heirloom Bulbs for Restoration Gardens.”

Flower bulbs were among the first plants in commerce and are even mentioned several times in the Bible. Join local favorite and renowned daffodil expert Brent Heath to learn about the range of colors, seasons, heights, shapes and sizes in bulbs 50 to 500 years old used to restore everything from your colonial home to your grandmother’s garden. Brent will highlight his talk with slides from gardens like Monticello, Colonial Williamsburg, Mount Vernon and a wealth of other period gardens. 

Book signing, wine, and cheese reception with author immediately follow the presentation.

All proceeds benefit preservation and education programs at Historic Christ Church & Museum.
